During my 4th year of high school, I participated in an online math competition, and due to my top 5 placement, I secured a spot in the Grand Final, which took place in Paris in 2023. Since I was also attending the IB Physics class and am keen on constantly improving my knowledge in the field of science, I qualified for the SCIENCE category (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) as well. Due to my limited knowledge in the field of biology, I was only able to secure a silver medal at the Grand Final.
During the coronavirus lockdown, I had a lot of spare time, and since I already knew what I wanted to study, I decided to educate myself in web development. I was lucky that my neighbors were two electrical engineering graduates, and with their help, I first learned to program in C++, and then I started with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, which I practice regularly since then.
Since I was four years old, I was into sports. For ten years now, I have been playing water polo. First in Sarajevo for eight years and then in Graz for a little less than two years now. With my team from Sarajevo, I participated in the LEN Champions League, most prestigious tournament in water polo at club level. I also play for the Bosnian national team, and am active at various regional tournaments, as well as the Austrian national league with my current team WBV Graz.
