Sanaz Rafii

In 2012, I co-founded Gaah Art, an independent art space established in collaboration with Mr. Soheil Rostami. The initiative was conceived as a platform for young artists to experiment, develop their projects, and present their work to a wider audience. Through Gaah Art, I have been involved in organizing exhibitions, workshops, and collaborative projects that foster dialogue within the contemporary art community.

• Create and exhibit works across photography, video art, and performance, exploring themes of identity, memory, and contemporary social issues.
• Develop and curate exhibitions featuring emerging and established artists, managing concept development, layout, and public engagement.
• Conduct research on contemporary art history and visual culture to inform both artistic practice and curatorial projects.
• Collaborate with galleries, art institutions, and interdisciplinary teams for exhibitions and cultural initiatives.
• Translate and edit materials related to art theory and criticism between Persian and English.

• Assisted in the production and installation of sculptural works and exhibitions.
• Supported material preparation, and studio organization.
• Collaborated on documentation and exhibition setups, gaining experience in contemporary Iranian sculpture and studio practice.
